This month The Australian Wine Industry came together for the release of James Halliday's 2019 Wine Companion. We are thrilled to announce that we have retained our 5 Red Star Rating and have 10 wines with a rating of 90 and over. Read below for all the scores and details


Reserve Riesling 115 2017  $27.99  Enticing Riesling aromas of ripe lemon and apple blossom, with pretty jasmine-like florals. The dry palate has clean, mouth-watering lemon acidity, with stunning juicy lemon/lime flavours throughout the long, crisp finish. Fantastic Summer luncheon wine, great as an aperitif, and perfect with fresh seafood. Drink now, or watch the wine develop over the next decade. Serve chilled.

Reserve Chardonnay 2016  $38.99  Wild fermentation of juice produced from low-cropped vines in top quality French oak barrels has added nutty, biscuit-like aromas to the apple/citrus fruit core. The finely honed and elegant palate has fantastic citrussy nectarine flavours together with supporting textural interest. An elegant, complex and modern cool-climate Chardonnay style that partners well with coq au vin, roast chicken and veal. Drink now to 2022.

Limited Release Shiraz 2015  $44.99  There are full and seductive aromas of cocoa, chocolate, blackberry, spicy dark plum, five-spice, and a sprinkling of ripe herbs. The full-bodied and concentrated palate has beautiful ripe fruit flavours with silky, ripe tannins and wonderful texture. This wine is perfect with red meat right now but will harmonise further in bottle over the next 5 years. Only 125 dozen produced.

Reserve Shiraz 2016  $33.99  

The fruit in our latest Reserve Shiraz is grown at Angullong vineyard in Orange NSW, at 660m altitude. This vintage shows ripe and concentrated Shiraz character as a result of warm and dry growing conditions throughout the 2016 season. There are seductive aromas of blackberry, spiced dark plum, black olive, mocha and licorice.This wine is perfect with red meat right now but will harmonise further in bottle over the next few years. A harmless deposit could form due to minimal filtration.For best enjoyment, remove cork and let breathe for an hour before serving. Drink now until 2024.

NV Brut Rose  $34.99
This bottle fermented sparkling Rosé has a light salmon pink colour and shows complex aromas of strawberry, cherry, dried fruits, honey, and yeast. Great as an aperitif. The palate has great poise and focus, with good richness and palate weight, and has wonderful crisp natural acidity that flows all the way through the clean, savoury finish.Great with hor d'oeuvres.

Reserve Shiraz Viognier 2016  $33.99
 The perfumed nose shows ripe, dark fruit flavours (blackberry, black plum, prune), ripe spices, with very subtle coffee and chocolate oak. The full-bodied palate has beautifully ripe and elegant flavours with a lovely lacing of ripe, silky tannin.Perfect with red meat. Drink now to 2023.
